Travel/World Wide Christian Tours started in September 20, 1965 as
the E'town Travel Agency, by a young lady named Emma Waldeck. It was
located in the Masonic Building in Elizabethtown, Ky. She started the
business with only 1 employee and in a small town that was unfamiliar
with what a travel agency was or did. The business prospered and in
1972 Ms. Waldeck decided to fulfill a dream of hers. That dream was
to enable christians of all faiths to be able to tour the Holy Land
together. So she started the World Wide Christian Tours as a division
of E'town Travel Agency. In 1985 the once fledgling business became
self-sustaining and was no longer under E'town Travel Agency. She saw
the need to help more people tour the Holy Land, so she decided to
try and help other travel agencies expand their visions. She put her
tours on the market for other travel agencies
to
provide to their clients.
On 8/20/08, Emma departed on her ultimate, once-in-a-lifetime, one-way journey to Heaven where she joined up with the everlasting praise & worship group tour hosted by the Lord Jesus Christ. We celebrate with her, but we will dearly miss her.
